Diwali Celebrations 2008 - 11th October (Saturday) 6:30pm















We will be having our Deepavali Celebrations at Eastwood Valley Golf & Country Club Grand Ballroom on 11th October (Saturday) from 6:30pm.

The Tickets are valued at RM70.00 and RM100.00. There is early bird pricing for the RM70.00. These tickets can be bought for RM50.00 before 30th September 2008. From 1st October prices will revert to RM70.00.

There will be a talk on Vastu Sastra on 18th August 2008, Monday at Gymkhana Club Miri. It commences at 7:30pm and there will be a RM10:00 charge to cover cost. This event is organised by the Miri Hindu Society.

Sunday 31st August 2008 Merdeka & Family Day Celebrations

We will be holding our Merdeka & Family Day Celebrations on 31st August 2008 at Gymkhana Club Miri Club. Food, Games and Fun for the Kids and Family.
This get together will be held from 2pm to 6pm onwards. It will be at the poolside patio. The value of the tickets are RM10:00 (per individual) and RM20 (per family) including 1 pot luck dish. Additional food and drinks will also be provided.

Hi to everyone. We are setting out this blog to keep our members and supporters updated on our activities.

Brief Intro - The Miri Indian Association was established in 1939. The Miri Indian community although a small community is an active and versatile one. The origins of Indians in Miri go back to the late 1890's. Currently it is estimated there are approximately 1000 Indians resident in Miri.

We look forward to everyone's support in Miri.
